The RM of Meota has seen unprecedented growth and development over the past few years. Where our strengths have historically been in agriculture, and more recent developments in oil and gas, we are now seeking an increased focus on tourism, recreation and quality of life, with the lakeshore developments surrounding Jackfish and Murray Lakes. Each of these sectors contributes in multiple ways to the economy of the municipality and the area as a whole. JTEK Developments and Kadon Industries are creating a new and unique opportunity in lake living, recreation, and tourism with the construction of a new RV and Marina Estates development.  This is in addition to the many opportunities already available in our neighbouring communities, parks, and 12 residential hamlet developments.
